Darwin Baby Ape has been loved by many pilots as soon as it was published. In order to design a better FPV drone, we upgraded the Baby Ape based on the pilots’ feedback and launched the BabyApe Pro V2. It is PNP Version, ELRS Version click here.

We made several upgrades to the frame. First of all, nylon standoffs are upgraded to aluminum alloy standoffs, which strengthens the frame and stables structure.

Second, We added the receiver fixing bracket.

Third, we upgraded the arms. The arms are upgraded from 4 individual arms(2.5mm thickness) to 2 integrated arms(3.0mm thickness). It is easier to disassemble, sturdy, and durable.

Last, the V2 version only needs 4 screws to fix, and the arm can be replaced by removing 2 screws without removing the whole drone.

    Drone is already assembled. Propellers are a snap-on and will not accept screws since the whole on noname motors are in wrong place. I have not spun the motors but they should stay put.
    Props are GemFan Hurricane 3016-3. whit what it looks 1mm shaft.
    Have tried Gemfan WinDancer 3028-3 and they slack (1.5mm)
    I added ELRS 2.4 receiver and replaced the cable that was attached to Sbus.

    Perfect as in the description! Arrived very fast in Celorico from the Edge Pt. Very top drone, the factory configuration is very good, the drone flies very well and is very strong.
    I did a very basic test because, I don’t have the proper batteries so I tested it with a 1.550mAh tat, I thought it was not possible to fly but, it flew. Super recommend the seller and the product!

    Flight characteristics are good; it is very easy to fly.

    This does not have a blackbox. However, if you use smartaudio with softserial, you can use it while switching between GPS and blackbox, which is rather convenient.

    The motors are affordable, easy to purchase, and simple to maintain.

    The only downside is the poor quality of the VTX. A range of 25mV to 100mV is too weak, resulting in improper video reception. It is recommended to use 200mV or higher regularly. Additionally, the camera angle cannot be adjusted due to interference with the camera connector. If these issues concern you, consider replacing the VTX with a smaller one.

    If you replace the screws with titanium, you can use a 3S 300mAh or 2S 450mAh battery, which weighs less than 100g.
